WIndows 8 Running on a laptop

Our computer engineers have been experimenting with Windows 8 on a desktop for a couple of weeks and now have a Pre Beta version running on a laptop:

First impressions and thoughts in this short video:

Strange Place for a Desktop Graphics Card

A customer brought in an older desktop computer and asked us to replace the graphics card as they were not getting a signal on the monitor.

We tested the on-board graphics and confirmed that it was not putting out any signal. The customer was asked what sort of replacement graphics card they wanted, the reply was:

"Don't worry, there is a spare one in the bottom of the machine. Just use that one"

Solid State Drives (SSD)

A solid state drive is a hard drive that works in a different way to your conventional hard drive in a laptop or desktop computer.
They do the same job of storing your data but they do it in a much better way. Instead of storing your data on a spinning disk, like a conventional hard drive, they store the data much in the same way as a pen drive.
This means that it can read and write data much faster, but what does this mean to you?
This means that windows will boot (turn on) much quicker. It also means that opening your programs will be much faster.
So if you are looking for super fast boot times and super fast load times, it would be a wise investment to look into getting a solid state drive for your desktop or laptop computer.

If you have any questions about solid state drives, feel free to get in contact with any member of staff at:

If your computer or laptop comes into our workshop for repairs, then why not ask one of our computer or laptop repair engineers for some advice on fitting an SSD to your system

Another Gaming System

Just finishing off another gaming desktop computer.

Cable management and windows install and she is good to go.

Notice that we are using a closed loop water cooling unit from corsair. Great for overclocking your processor.

What makes this a gaming PC though is the gtx280 in here. Not the fastest card but ideal for playing games.

Don't forget that we offer a custom design and build service for desktops.
